We are proud to announce that Newgrange Gold has achieved Origin Green Gold Membership for 2024, the highest level of recognition available within the programme.
Origin Green is Ireland’s national food and drink sustainability programme, uniting government, the private sector, and the entire supply chain—from farmers to food producers, and extending to the foodservice and retail sectors.
This unique programme is the world’s only national food and drink sustainability initiative, enabling the industry to continuously improve, set, and achieve measurable sustainability targets that respect the environment and better serve local communities.
Gold Membership acknowledges companies that have demonstrated exceptional annual performance in meeting sustainability targets, including areas like raw material sourcing, water conservation, emissions reductions, waste management, and social sustainability. All progress is independently assessed and verified by Mabbett, a third-party organization.
At Newgrange Gold, we are deeply committed to sustainability. We have set 15 biodiversity targets, including support for our local football team, Rossin Rovers, and the Boyne Rivers Trust.
Our manufacturing goals include reducing cardboard usage and sourcing 100% IGAS-certified seeds. Additionally, we are proud to purchase oilseed rape exclusively from farmers who practice 100% regenerative agriculture.
